Great Wall

Great Wall of China. Sony Alpha A100 11mm@f3.5. ISO100.

I have so many Christmas parties to attend this year its pretty amazing that given all the economic gloom and doom, people are still wanting to party harty and enjoy a good time with friends.  I suppose it could also be because of the economy that everyone is organizing their own Christmas, but I’m all for enjoying a more ‘personal’ homey experience!

Speaking of which, can you believe I got to see a Leafs game in the Platinum seats!  OH MAN!  It was a dream come true!  My buddy Prakash totally hooked me up and it was such a great game vs the Flyers.  Saw some good back and forth action, a break away, 2 fights and a quick paced game with little penalties.  I am now spoiled. Things haven’t been too exciting since I returned from HK, but they’ve been busy enough to fall behind on my posting yet again.

Yesterday Kathy and I went to buy some gifts for those Christmas bins they have and it felt pretty good to be doing something productive, with the season being Christmas and all.  Makes me wonder why they don’t have those bins all year round though.  I was reminded of how awesome toys are.  We bought a bunch of batman, ironman, and WALL-E action figures, then I had Kathy pick the girly gifts of which we ended up with a puppy, a teddy bear and a baby tiger.  No barbies, can’t stand those things… but we did see a fashion edition of scrabble?  Maybe kids these days need more outside influence to get into games about the english language.
